Groups

Tired of suffering alone?

You are not alone. We are all likely struggling in at least one area of our lives at any given time.

Group counseling is a form of psychotherapy in which an average of 2-10 people meet to focus on a specific issue under the guidance of a mental health professional. Group counseling is an effective option on its own or to complement individual therapy. Growing and healing in community can increase therapeutic outcomes, participation, and offer a support system.

Groups are offered periodically.

There are no groups at this time. Information about upcoming groups will be posted here. Please check back and or contact the practice for more on groups.

Services

Our services include counseling, life purpose coaching, and teaching yoga and mindfulness. We provide individual, group, and family counseling. In particular, we have a passion for counseling women and teens.

Specific areas of concentration include: helping women improve their self-esteem, discover and pursue life purpose, manage anxiety, depression, and heal trauma through individual and group counseling, teen groups for social anxiety and self-esteem, and counseling for single parent families to strengthen the relationship between parent and child.

Counseling Specializations

Women's Counseling and Groups

Individual and Group Counseling centered on women's issues, anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, and trauma. For those feeling stuck or unfulfilled, struggling with setting and maintaining boundaries, values clarification, and navigating personal and professional relationships.

Teen Groups

Teen Group Counseling centered on social and generalized anxiety or depression, social skills, self-esteem, and habit changing. Teens will have the opportunity to improve their mental health and communication skills in the company of peers with therapeutic techniques, mindfulness, and discussion.

Single Parent Families

Family Counseling centered on strengthening the parent/child relationship and addressing issues left by the absent parent on the single parent family. In cases of abandonment a child often struggles with belonging, self-esteem and identity that carries into adulthood, significantly increasing future relationship problems.
